Kansas City Triumphs Sports Car Club

Kansas City Area Chapter of the Vintage Triumph Register

The Kansas City Triumphs Sport Car Club was organized in 1978 for the benefit of Triumph owners and enthusiasts in the greater Kansas City area. Membership is open to all who appreciate automobiles bearing the Triumph name. The club’s mission is to provide a forum for the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of the Triumph marque. KC Triumphs became an early chapter of the Vintage Triumph Register (VTR), a North American association dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of all Triumph automobiles. The club provides a bi-monthly newsletter, Google Groups e-mail, and web site to keep all members informed of activities, provide a forum for technical advice, repair/restoration encouragement and an advertising medium for cars and parts.

A variety of activities are offered throughout the year including cruises, historic destination runs, picnics, tech sessions, fix-it days, dyno-tune events, car shows, convoys to VTR regional and national events and monthly social gatherings. Highlights have included a Drive-In, Fly-In organized with a local club that builds and flies replica WW I era planes and a Historic Route and Military Road Expedition. One illustrious member has twice shipped his TR3A to Europe to participle in historic rallies passing through the spectacular mountain passes of the Ardennes, Dolomites and Pyrenees.

KC Triumphs hosts all local British marque clubs at an annual picnic gathering during National British Car Week and was instrumental in establishing the annual Heartland All British Car and Cycle Meet which continues as the largest vintage British car event in the Midwest.
